Ruki Tomita
Japan

BRIEF INTRODUCTION

Inspired by her father, Ruki Tomita started snowboarding at the age of three. While still in preschool, she competed in her first halfpipe competition. At 12, she became a professional snowboarder and achieved impressive results in various competitions.

In the 2021/22 season, she celebrated a special milestone: at the World Cup in Mammoth, she surpassed her older sister Sena Tomita, whom she had always emulated. Her greatest moment followed at the Olympic Games in Beijing, where, as a debutant, she finished in 5th place – an outstanding result that would be considered a triumph by many. But Ruki is a true competitor: despite her strong result, she wasn't satisfied and has been working even harder ever since to improve further.

With her radiant smile and infectious optimism, she motivates not only herself but also those around her. Her determination and will to win make her one of the most fascinating personalities in snowboarding.
